How to do a pour over using a Beehouse “Pour over” Dripper

Step 1: Pre-rinse the filter with hot water. This helps remove any paper taste that may make its way into the final cup.

Step 2: Grind coffee right before you are ready to brew. I like to use 1 rounded tablespoon per 5 oz. cup of coffee.

Step 3: Pour just enough hot water( 195-200 degrees, about 30 seconds off boil) to wet the grounds and allow the coffee to “bloom” for around 30 seconds. Then slowly pour the water in a circular motion, keeping all grounds wet until your cup is full.

Your total brew time should be 2 to 2 ½ minutes. Then go sit somewhere comfy and enjoy your Leapknot coffee.

How to do a Chemex Brewer

Step 1: Separate your Chemex filter and place into the brewer with the 3 layers toward the spout. ( It is important to use Chemex style filters, they are stronger and will not tear, while other filters can rip open under the weight of your pour.) Pre-rinse the filter with hot water. This helps remove any paper taste that may make its way into the final cup. Simply pour out the rinse water, your filter should stay in place.

Step 2: Grind coffee right before you are ready to brew. I like to use 1 rounded tablespoon per 5 oz. cup of coffee. When I use my Chemex Model CM-6A, I usually use 6 heaping tablespoons for a full pot.

Step 3: Pour just enough hot water( 195-200 degrees, about 30 seconds off boil) to wet the grounds and allow the coffee to “bloom” for around 30 seconds. Then slowly pour the water in a circular motion, keeping all grounds wet until you have filled the brewer.
